Human Practice - Tulio by dinosapien Human Practice - Tulio by dinosapien
Finally got this pain the ass up :P

GOD I was so irritated with this. I struggled a lot with his posture, since he is so freggin skinny and his legs are so long. Plus, I didn't plan the drawing right, so now he looks disproportionate since I wanted to be able to draw his feet :X Expect the anatomy to be wrong.

As easy as Tulio is to doodle down, I HATE drawing his hair. It has so many curves that it makes me so mad sometimes whenever I try to draw it out.

Anyway, despite how frustrated I was with Tulio's design (no matter how much I like it), I felt really comical and ended up writing a bunch of dumb gags on paper :P So, yeah, most of the comedy written there is just a bunch of dry humor. I basically make fun of him, too ;P Seriously, Tulio is so easy to make fun of :D He's so cynical and sarcastic, which makes me want to poke fun at him.

I ended up being more expressive with Tulio then I was with Miguel, surprisingly. Again, I felt more comical at the time so I ended up drawing out more interesting expressions. Idk, I guess I found him easier to express then Miguel. Then again, they're both kind of fun to draw out :)

(PLEASE READ: Yes, I used model sheets that were specifically made to aid the animators. I'm that much of a fangirl to google them up.)

Where did you get instructions to draw him? Or you did it on your own? :O

See the artist comments. In the bold lettering I link to a site that contains a few model sheets that I referenced from. I don't use them much now since I know their features by heart, but for this I used the sheets to cheat lol

Haha, thanks. :D I don't know I said that or not, but I think non-Disney movies are the best ("El Dorado", "Anastasia", "Sinbad", "Camelot" and "Swan Princess" XD).

I love both, but I think that the Non-Disney movies are braver then the Disney company itself, who generally restricts itself to the point in which it must be as innocent as it can so it won't get any crap from critics. With companies like Dreamworks, they tend to make a lot of movies that tend to not be very narrow-minded, compared to Disney. Movies like The Road to El Dorado are usually very good when it comes to keeping characters realistic, in my opinion; they use swear words, they're not these outlandish heroes or extremely evil villains, their personalities are very relatable because the two main characters express two different kinds of people, and overall the story isn't focused on a good vs evil struggle despite Tzekel-Kan being there. These reasons are probably what caused it to fail in theaters because the critics were too sensitive about everything.

Sorry for the long post...
